Motor City Match connects new and expanding businesses with Detroit’s quality real estate opportunities, providing them with funding and tools to fuel the city’s entrepreneurial revolution. The program distributes $500,000 in assistance every quarter to business and building owners. The application periods close on the first day of every quarter — January, April, July, and October.
The Detroit Green Grocer Project (GGP) helps create competitive, sustainable grocery offerings in Detroit while improving fresh food offerings for residents. Working primarily with independent grocers, GGP offers technical assistance, facade improvement and other grants, access to both traditional and non-traditional funding sources, and assistance with other business incentives from local and state government.
Entrepreneurs, artists, techies and others looking for workspace in Detroit now have a one-stop resource to help them search for the perfect place for their endeavor, DEGC’s “Detroit Co-Working Spaces Finder.” These co-working spaces offer more than just a place to work, they provide the opportunity to meet and collaborate with a community of people with the same interests.
