Demolition, site work and new construction for a multi-events center in Detroit. Design plans call for the construction of an 18,000-seat, 650,000-square-foot sports arena. Plans also include an attached 500-space parking garage and 10,000-square-feet of retail and restaurant space.

As of August 2014 bid package 1 is expected to be released sometime in October 2014. Groundbreaking for this project has been set for October 2014. Information regarding a construction start date has not been released.

*The general contractors (joint venture) will bid for subcontractor trades from a list of pre-qualified firms.

*There will be two conferences held for contractors interested in working on this project. In order to register for the conference please do so at the following website: www.districtdetroit.com. There will be a conference for Detroit Headquartered/Detroit Based contractors on August 28, 2014 and a conference for non-Detroit contractors held on September 9, 2014.
